Featured Puerto Rico Golf Courses…
Bahía Beach Golf Course
Bahía Beach Golf Course is a scenic 6,979-yard layout overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, 80 acres of saltwater lagoons, and the mountainous El Yunque National Rainforest. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Bahia Beach was created around a network of saltwater lagoons and 15 of the 18 holes border some form of water. The course takes a route around the lagoons before emerging onto the Atlantic coast for the final three holes.
Dorado East Course
This classic Robert Trent Jones, Sr. design opened in 1958 and is still the top-rated course in Puerto Rico. The course has also recently undergone renovations from the Ray Floyd group. It measures 7,000 and offers several holes for playing along the Caribbean Sea. Originally, J.D. Rockefeller commissioned Robert Trent Jones to design both the east and west courses at Dorado for his private use in the 1950's. Chi Chi
Rodriguez worked here in the early 1960s before his World Golf Hall of Fame career. Dorado East at the flagship Dorado is a Puerto Rico golf development which features a total of four courses located west of San Juan.
The golf course, designed by Arthur Hills, opened in 1993. Set on more than 200 feet of elevation change, few shots are played at the same elevation twice. The course is awash in elevated tees, which offer views of the Caribbean Sea and El Yunque National Rainforest, including both the first and 10th tees, which are located near the perched clubhouse location. In addition to rolling hills and a handful of water hazards, El Conquistador is also full of iguanas, which find their way onto the fairways and bunkers from time-to-time. This is the only course at the El Conquistador Resort located on the east coast of Puerto Rico.
Rio Mar Ocean Course
The Ocean Course is the second of two golf courses at the resort and was designed by George and Tom Fazio in 1975 when premium resort golf was only beginning to spring up around the Caribbean. This creation was in the later years of the uncle-nephew architecture team, before Tom would branch out on his own to become one of the preeminent architects of today. The 6,782-yard course, like many great resort courses, follows a dramatic trajectory in design before building to a climactic close.
Rio Mar River Course
The Rio Mar is home to this championship course, designed by Greg Norman in 1997. This was Norman’s first design in the Caribbean and plays to 6,931 yards. It is a marriage of the dense swath of tropical land that runs along the Mameyes River, combined with Norman’s own vision for a great Puerto Rico golf course. It is an exciting course that maximizes the aesthetic gifts of the land.
Royal Isabela Course
Royal Isabela Golf Links was designed by Stanley and Charlie Pasarell with great passion for the land and the game. The design evolved from the land itself. Their hands-on and minimal-impact approach pays tribute to Golf Links' majestic partner: nature. The landscape's native grasses, natural sand dunes, and deep canyons are integral to
the layout, while sod-faced bunkers add a Scottish flair to this island gem. These elements, along with trade winds, shape the course's character and captivate the golf purist.
Trump Championship Course
The Championship Course at Trump International Puerto Rico begins among spectacular man-made lakes and follows to the ocean with incredible water views. The meticulously crafted fairways feature stellar scenery. The course winds through lush tree groves and over waterways and lakes, amid tropical blooms and past scenic bluffs,
delivering an unparalleled golfing experience. The Championship golf course at Trump International hosts an official PGA Tour Event, the Puerto Rico Open.
Trump International Course
Located in the town of Rio Grande, 30 minutes from San Juan at the foothills of the world famous El Yunque Rainforest, Trump International Golf Club Puerto Rico is spread over 1,000 lush acres on the Atlantic coast. Trump International Golf Club boasts two of Puerto Rico’s best golf courses, both of legendary proportions and
designed by Tom Kite. The International Course runs through beautiful hills and then sits on green mangroves for a challenging yet beautiful golf setting.
