Your two English speaking cooking classes are hands-on, given by international chefs, who will explain not only the cooking techniques but also the history and culture of this refined French cuisine. Your chef will take you shopping in the open-air market to find the perfect ingredients to create a memorable culinary experience. You’ll create a 4 course dinner in your cooking class that combines technique and gastronomy where you’ll learn how to cook gourmet French Cuisine. The program offers 7 days and 6 nights in a charming, quiet boutique hotel in the heart of Paris and only steps away from historical sites, museums, shopping, and endless culinary delights. You’ll discover French wines through an expert Sommelier. You’ll have a Foodie Tour where you’ll retrace the mysteries and culinary secrets of the oldest food market in Europe, Les Halles, long known as the ‘Belly of Paris’ from the famous 1873 novel ‘Le Ventre de Paris’ by Émile Zola. You’ll enjoy breath taking views of Paris from the Seine River Lunch Cruise while enjoying fine French cuisine and wines. You’ll learn why Paris overwhelms every food lover with delight.

 

Hotel Saint-Paul – Classic Room – For One (Dbl Occ)

The Hotel Saint-Paul-Rive Gauche, a residence dating from the end of the XVIIth century, is ideally situated in the heart of Paris between the Sorbonne and the Luxembourg gardens. It is owned by the 4th generation of the same family who strive to maintain the high standards of this charming hotel where you’ll feel truly at home. Your breakfast, that is included, is served in a striking vaulted cellar in which you will find an authentic well and it is said that Franciscan monks once lodged in the residence. Each room has its own distinctive style and charm and is fully equipped, including free WiFi.

 

Round-Trip Airport Transfers

You will be met at the airport by your private chauffer who will take you directly to the hotel so that you can get settled in for your week of culinary discovery in Paris. Open-Air Food Market Tour & Hands-On Cooking Class | Gourmet Lunch & Wine

After a glorious breakfast, you will have your first hands-on creative culinary experience. First you’ll go to an open-air food market in a nearby Parisian neighborhood where your guide/chef will explain the different types of products and you’ll discover the ingredients for your gourmet lunch. Back to the cooking school, where you’ll learn how to prepare a fabulous lunch and once you’ve done all the hard work, you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor! A 4 course meal with two wines and a local host who will share surprising tales of how the food you’ve prepared relates to the local culture. You will leave not just with a great experience, but with amazing stories to share as well.

 

French Wine Discovery & Tasting Class

This is a wine tasting class like none other where you’ll have an opportunity to discover wines using all of your senses. Of course you’ll use sight and smell to explore the wines and smells to better understand the characteristics of the grapes and regions. You might even use other senses, such as hearing or touch to discover wines! You’ll learn about the wines through listening to stories and anecdotes drawn from the regions and history of France – told with a bit of humor, and a lot of knowledge, so you can remember more than just the wines.

 

Scenic Seine River Lunch Cruise

Paris is a beautiful city and seeing it from the Seine River is a totally unique experience. You will discover or rediscover the magic along the banks, enhanced by the most prestigious monuments that have marked history. You’ll embark onto your boat, right next to the Eiffel Tour and enter an entirely glass-encased restaurant for truly memorable lunch. You’ll choose from an all-inclusive menu where dishes are made from fresh products that are selected each morning and are cooked to order. You’ll be serenaded by live music that will harmonize with a perfect culinary art and breathe taking scenery allowing you to keep an exceptional memory of the day.

 

Culinary Walking Tour in Historical Paris

You’ll discover culture and culinary in one of the most historical parts of Paris called Les Halles, where the world’s largest food market was once located. You’ll retrace the mysteries and hidden culinary secrets and visit the foundations of the France culinary scene, from the famous cooking equipment store, to some of the oldest French delicacies you can imagine: from Cheese, to Fois Gras, from Sweets to Meats ! Along the tour you’ll collect delicacies from each store that you’ll sample and enjoy with a glass of wine back at the cooking school.

 

Hands-on Cooking Class | Gourmet Dinner & Wine Pairing

In your second experience you’ll learn how to combine technique and gastronomy that reflects true French Cuisine in a laid back environment. The small classes taught in English will give you hands-on experience and your Chef will introduce you to the magic of French cuisine while you discover and learn the tips and techniques of how to make your menu come alive. You’ll use the freshest products that are in season to create a 4 course dinner: a starter, a main course of meat or fish, a side dish and a dessert. You will also learn a few tricks on plating and presentation. After all your hard work, enjoy your meal in the dining area over-looking the enchanting Seine, with a glass of wine.
