Best of South Wales – Option 1

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive a London airport, drive to the Royal Hotel in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, for six nights.

Day 2

Play Southerndown a demanding course with bracken and gorse to punish wayward shots. On windy days you need to negotiate the natural hazards with care.

Day 3

Drive to Porthcawl and play the championship links Royal Porthcawl, many amateur and professional events are held here, the leading course in Wales.

Day 4

Play Pennard, it is perched high on a cliff top but still has links characteristics.

Day 5

Play Rolls of Monmouth, it was linked to the famous Rolls Royce Company. Greg Norman when he was Rolls touring professional thought that the four short holes on this lush parkland course were ‘fantastic’.

Day 6

Play the 2010 course at Celtic Manor, the first course to be built specifically for a Ryder Cup, a great experience that you will recall if you watched the tournament in October 2010.

Day 7

Depart London airport.

Best Of Wales – Option 2

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Manchester or a London airport, drive to Harlech for three nights at Y Branwen Hotel. The drive will take you through the spectacular Snowdonia National Park to the North West coast.

Day 2

Play the championship links of Royal St David’s, just five minutes from your hotel.

Day 3

Play the cliff top course at Nefyn, sometimes known as the ‘Pebble Beach’ of Wales. You can visit the famous Portmerion village and several other places of interest.

Day 4

Drive south down the coast for about an hour and play the traditional links at Aberdovey. After golf continue south to the Penally Abbey hotel at Tenby for 2 nights.

Day 5

Play Tenby, a famous links, the oldest in Wales. Tenby is a fascinating ancient walled town with elegant Georgian terraces and a pretty, partly medieval.

Day 6

Drive to Porthcawl and play the championship links Royal Porthcawl often ranked # 1 in Wales. After golf drive to the Royal Hotel in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, for three nights.

Day 7

Play Southerndown a cliff top course that is very demanding.

Day 8

Play the 2010 course at Celtic Manor, a great experience playing this course which was the venue for the Ryder Cup in October 2010.

Day 9

Depart via Manchester or a London airport.
